The retaining rings shown here are less than 5 mm in size but are nevertheless perfectly suited to the special painting process used by ROTOVER Lackiertechnik. This is because the specialists for mass adhesive painting can paint even such infinitesimally small parts without any sticking. In this process, the surface is painted evenly and from all sides as intended.
Retaining rings are typical examples of numerous small parts that are drum painted at ROTOVER on a daily basis. The painting either has a decorative purpose or is intended to achieve a specific function. For decorative painting, uni paints and special EPITAL metal effect paints are applied in very thin layers using the ROTOVER process. All desired colors according to standard RAL, Pantone, NCS etc. or customer's template are possible.
In the case of functional coatings, the mass-produced small parts are exemplarily coated with bonded coatings based on MOS2 (molybdenum disulfide) or PTFE (Teflon) to reduce friction values. Proven systems such as Molykote, Resilon or Xylan are used here. Of course, the customer can specify his requirements for the coating material.
In the drum coating process, ROTOVER can efficiently coat almost all metals and various plastic substrates. The coatings are usually applied in very low layer thicknesses of between 2 and 20μm, but can be higher for technical coatings depending on requirements. Another advantage of this process is that a part can be completely coated without having to be lined up on coating stands in a cumbersome and cost-intensive process beforehand. All mass-produced small parts that can be handled as bulk material are therefore ideally suited for the proven ROTOVER spray drum painting process.
