ROTOVER offers high quality surface treatments for the durable function of technical springs.
Technical springs are painted at ROTOVER using a special drum painting process. In most cases, the paint finish is used for visual differentiation. Functional coatings to reduce noise and friction (lubricant coating) or with special chemical resistances are also possible. The drum coating process from ROTOVER is the efficient alternative to galvanic coatings as well as to zinc lamella coating.
ROTOVER offers a comprehensive color coding system for the painting of springs, with more than ten different color shades as examples. This makes it easy to visually distinguish between similar spring types. The color coding system is available from both the EPITAL product range and the KACELIT coatings. Shades such as silver, white, yellow, orange, red, violet, green, blue, brown, anthracite and black are available as well as a wide range of metallic and electroplated shades.
Contrary to other painting processes, even with the finest micro springs, the coils of the springs do not stick together. The layer thicknesses are very low at just a few micrometers. This means that even very small, high-precision extension springs, tether springs, coil springs, helical tension springs and microswitch springs can be coated with process reliability.
Thanks to the special barrel coating process, even difficult types of springs, such as those that tend to tangle or deform, can be coated in a controlled manner. The finest extension springs, even with open eyelet shapes, do not warp or snag and are painted all around.
Rotover paints for well-known manufacturers of technical springs on a contract basis. The often prescribed EPITAL and KACELIT coating systems come from the sister company HUELSEMANN Coatings in Wuppertal. Thus, coating development and application are closely linked at Rotover. Benefit from this know-how advantage.
